Alongside our collaborators Micah Projects and BUBS Collective, We Are Mobilise are grateful to have been awarded a $600,000 grant from The Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF), to support Queensland mothers affected by Domestic and Family Violence.
Delivered over three years, this program will deliver holistic support to pregnant women experiencing Domestic and Family Violence, through the Mobilise Pay program.
By combining wraparound support, cross-agency birth and safety planning, and direct financial aid for essential living expenses, Mobilise Pay will create long-term stability and give women the chance to heal, to dream and to raise their children in homes filled with safety, not fear.
PRF has a special place in the history of We Are Mobilise, empowering our launch of an Australian-fist direct giving program, Mobilise Matched, and later expanding support to a second direct-giving program, Mobilise Pay.
This grant marks the third collaboration between We Are Mobilise and PRF, and together we are so proud to continue supporting real and lasting change for families who are ready to start their next chapters.
Creating a ripple of change:
At We Are Mobilise, we see the incredible rippling impact of support every day – not just for the individuals, but for their families and communities as well. Here’s what one of our previous participants in the Mobilise Kickstarter program had to say:
“Receiving funding means so much more than just financial help – it’s giving me and my four children a chance to rebuild our lives. We’ve been through a lot, and this support is helping us overcome homelessness and find stability again. It gives us hope, safety, and the opportunity to get back on our feet. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who believes in us and is helping make a fresh start possible.”
About this grant:
In this round, The Paul Ramsay Foundation is supporting 17 collaborations across the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia, bringing together 58 organisations to improve outcomes for families experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV).
PRF is providing the collaborations with funding and other support to help grow their collective capacity to assist those affected by DFV with whole-of-family support and long-term stability.
