From Couch Surfing to Stable Housing in 24 Hours

This participant ended a decades-long relationship and felt unsafe staying within the home. She had no choice but to begin couch surfing, and every night never knew where she would sleep that night.

With ongoing physical health issues and only a JobSeeker income, recovery and building her independence were extremely difficult.

A case manager supported her to secure long-term housing. Kickstarter covered the upfront costs on the same day the referral was submitted, allowing her to move in immediately.

She is now able to begin a new, independent chapter focused on her health.
