Martha's Story

Martha had been living in her car, couch surfing, and boarding. She has been doing this while also caring full time for her grandson, who has to be removed from his unsafe family environment. Martha is part of the fastest-growing group facing homelessness. women over 55. When a community housing property became available, she couldn't afford the upfront cost. This is where we were able to support; we were able to pay for the bond and a couple of months of rent. They are now in a safe and secure home, giving them the fresh start they deserve.
