We are absolutely thrilled to share that Mobilise has received an incredible $300,000 from the Paul Ramsay Foundation! This amazing support will supercharge our Mobilise Matched program, which empowers individuals facing homelessness with direct grants and goal-setting to help them take on their next chapter.
We’re breaking new ground in Australia with our ‘Direct Cash Transfers’ approach! We tested this method of support last year with our first Matched program. The Direct Cash Transfer concept has been successful in other countries, so we’re excited to be the first to implement it in this context here in Australia.
What we’re proving is simple yet powerful: when you give people the financial resources and autonomy they need, they are empowered to make their own decisions and build their own futures—leading to the best long-term outcomes!
Now, let’s talk about what the Paul Ramsay Foundation’s generous grant means for us. It will fund the evaluation of our Matched program, ensuring it’s working effectively and helping us discover how we can continuously improve it. The Paul Ramsay Foundation is one of Australia’s largest philanthropic funders, dedicated to stopping disadvantage across the nation. With this support, we’re taking a huge step toward building concrete evidence that Direct Cash Transfers can make a real difference in Australia!
So, why is this such a big deal? This goes beyond just benefiting Mobilise; it lifts up the entire homelessness sector! We’re embarking on an exciting multi-year project to gather insights on what strategies work best, for whom, and under what circumstances—helping other organisations along the way.
We have actually done this before… After testing Matched last year and gathering valuable insights, we’re ready to go BIGGER and BETTER with Paul Ramsay Foundation’s support! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be supporting many more participants! And let’s not forget about the impact we’re having!
