To mark National Homelessness Week in Australia, Mobilise is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in its journey to help end homelessness in this country.
Since the inception of our comprehensive direct giving programs in November 2023, we have now successfully enrolled our 100th participant.
This achievement marks a pivotal moment in our mission to provide sustainable pathways out of homelessness for vulnerable Australians.
Reflecting on this milestone, Noah Yang, Founder and CEO of We Are Mobilise, was proud of what his team has achieved in a short period of time.
“Reaching 100 participants in such a short span of time is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and partners.
“Our innovative direct giving program delivery, inspired by Nedd Brockmann’s extraordinary Record Run in 2022, focuses on enhancing existing efforts from partners within the sector.
“We are proud to have developed programs that efficiently channel funds and support to those in need, creating lasting change.”
Over the past nine months, We Are Mobilise has launched three flagship programs: Mobilise Matched, Kickstarter, and Pay. These initiatives are designed to offer direct financial assistance, employment opportunities, and essential support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
Each program aims to empower participants to take control of their futures and build stable, independent lives.
Mobilise Matched: Australia’s first direct cash transfer program for people at risk of
homelessness, providing matched savings and wraparound support.
Mobilise Kickstarter: Offering direct rental assistance to help secure and maintain
housing.
Mobilise Pay: Supporting single-mother families by covering essential expenses for
a year.
“We have had some incredibly special conversations with our participants and
partner organisations”, Yang continued.
“One participant in the Mobilise Matched program expressed disbelief that such a supportive initiative could exist. These stories inspire us to expand our impact and continue developing innovative solutions.”
