What an incredible month August has been! From developing new programs to re-launching Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge and achieving significant milestones in funding distribution, we’ve been making strides at Mobilise.
We absolutely love what we do here at Mobilise and couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of your ongoing support. In August alone, we provided over 150 weeks (3 years) of housing, bringing our total Kickstarter distribution to over 1,000 weeks (20 years) for more than 110 participants since November last year.
Our single-mother families program Mobilise Pay continues to go from strength to strength, with support in August flowing through to mothers covering a range of support, including utility debt and extracurricular activities for children. Our pioneering direct giving program, Mobilise Matched, has just wrapped up a successful pilot, and we’re already planning v2. The stories from our first participants are truly inspiring, and we’re excited to amplify this impact even further as we deliver new program models.
Looking ahead, we see tremendous opportunities. While the feedback on our programs has been overwhelmingly positive, it’s the personal stories of lives changed that truly motivate us. We’ve recently launched our fourth program, Mobilise Wellbeing, focused on mental health support.
And now, we’re excited to introduce our fifth program, Mobilise Mobility. Time and again, we hear about how lack of access to transport prohibits people from engaging in education and/or employment (and consequently increases the risk of homelessness). Our program is aimed at facilitating a variety of modes of transport for people, which will improve their lives.
This all ties in perfectly with Nedd’s next challenge.
On October 3rd, he will attempt to break a world record. He’s currently bunkering down to prepare, and we can’t wait to see him hit the track at Sydney Olympic Park in a month’s time.
He and Mobilise are calling on the generosity of everyday Aussies and corporate Australia to support this amazing campaign. If you would like to support Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge by being a workplace champion, please let me know. We want as many people as possible to set uncomfortable challenges so we can continue to deliver programs and results like the ones I’ve listed above.
It’s now just weeks until Nedd kicks off his run on October 3rd. As the great man would say, LESSGO!
