May was a month of strong foundations – new partners, new participants, and big things on the horizon.
Direct giving in action – This month, we provided 80 months of housing, distributed $83,000 in funding, and welcomed 21 new participants into our direct giving programs. Behind each of these numbers is a person getting the support they need to find stability and rebuild on their own terms.
New charity partners, greater reach – We’re proud to be working with four new charity partners who are now referring people into our programs:
Uniting Country SA – South Australia
YFS (Youth & Family Services) – Queensland
West Coast Youth and Community Support – South Australia
Indigo Junction – Western Australia
Each partnership expands our reach and strengthens our ability to connect people with the resources they need, faster.
Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge is back – We could not be more excited to be launching it this October – except this time, it’s your challenge.
Last year, after Nedd completed his challenge around the track, thousands of people across Australia joined in – committing to 10 days of getting uncomfortable to raise money for homelessness. From ice baths to improv classes, the creativity and commitment blew us away.
Sign-ups go live in July, so start dreaming big or gather a group – and get ready to do something uncomfortable for a cause that matters. Huge shoutout to Nedd and the team at Bursty, who bring this to life with us. We’re so excited to be doing it all again.

STORY FROM OUR DIRECT GIVING PARTICIPANTS
“I’m a Mum of children with all abilities. I have two special needs kids with intellectual disabilities. I just moved out from a DV situation.
Currently living in our new rental with the help of [my case manager] who advocated for me and my kids to the real estates.
I was rejected from 3 rental properties before I got approval to my current home.
[My case manager] also helped us to get a Kickstarter referral to We are Mobilise.
This financial assistance for our rent is such a big help to our family, who is starting again and fleeing from a DV situation.
Thank you again for all your kindness and help.”

NEW CHARITY PARTNERS
We’re excited to be working with new charities that have been referring their clients to our direct giving programs.
Uniting Country SA – social and community services organisation delivering services in the Yorke & Mid North, Far North and Eyre & Western regions in South Australia
YFS (Youth & Family Services) – homelessness, DV, and employment readiness services in Logan, Queensland
West Coast Youth and Community Support – provide homelessness services and a supported youth accommodation facility on the Lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia

We’ve built up a solid presence in the capital cities of all five states of Australia, now we are focusing on expanding to regional areas. Our ultimate goal is to distribute support to those who need it wherever they are across the country.

NEDD’S UNCOMFORTABLE CHALLENGE IS BACK
We’re back for 2025 – but this year, it’s your challenge!
Pick something that gets you out of your comfort zone and stick at it for 10 days, fundraising for Mobilise.
Last year, we saw anything and everything – running, salsa dancing, improv classes, cold showers, and sleeping outside.
We’re excited to see schools, workplaces, families and individuals getting uncomfortable for a great cause.
Sign-ups go live in July – so stay tuned for more info.
