Last week we celebrated the close of the 2025 Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, which saw thousands of Australians answering the call to get uncomfortable for ten consecutive days in October, to raise funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness.
We know that Nedd Brockmann is no stranger to getting uncomfortable for a good cause, but this year we were inspired to see every day Australian’s prove that they could go just as far to support people in need, raising an incredible $1.5 million for We Are Mobilise across the challenge.
From the amazing feats of individuals like Natalia Hogan, who ran 175km to give back after her own lived experience of homelessness, to the collective heart of workplaces like VivCourt, who donated over $185,000 as an organisation, we saw people come together across the country to spark change and conversation around homelessness in Australia.
These donations will support over 100 years of housing through the Mobilise Kickstarter program, which covers 12 weeks of rental support to people who are leaving homelessness to step into long-term housing that can support their next chapters.
Noah Yang, We Are Mobilise Founder & CEO, says:
“Nine years ago when Mobilise began, we asked a simple question, “in a country as prosperous as Australia, why does anybody have to sleep on the streets?” Our vision remains steadfast, an Australia where everybody has a safe place to call home. We’re grateful for your support on that journey.
The 2025 Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge marks the fourth year of collaboration between Nedd Brockmann and We Are Mobilise, and just the second time that Nedd has asked Australian’s to personally join him on the journey to get uncomfortable and go beyond what we may think is possible.
Reflecting on his national tour as part of this year’s fundraiser, Nedd Brockmann says:
“It’s been really cool to travel around the country and see the impact it’s having. Every chat, every person, you’re all amazing humans. From the bottom of my heart, I’m extremely grateful to all of you who did the challenge.”
Through the support of Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, We Are Mobilise reached its largest month of distribution yet, helping 123 participants into housing in just one month. Together, we know this is just the beginning!
