With just 22 days until Nedd Brockmann begins his Uncomfortable Challenge to be the fastest person to run 1000 miles, Team Mobilise is getting the miles into our legs in preparation for Australia’s Challenge, which begins on October 20.
Most of the team has taken to running challenges, so we’ve been hitting the pavement across the country to ensure we are ready to go.
Below is a collection of all the blog updates we’ve been making on our Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge profile pages. Want to spur us on even further? You can donate to Team Mobilise by donating to staff on their respective links below.
So, team, what have you all been up to?

Helloooooo!
So I have added to my uncomfortable challenge and going to be running 16km on the last day of the challenge. This is such a big goal to achieve, as I am not much of a runner (literally the last time I ran was in high school 😭). I am super excited to challenge myself and get uncomfortable!
Soooooo, the team and I (at mobilise) decided to go for a team run, and this was my first run in a very long time.
I really didn’t think I would make it past 1km but I ran 3km!!! Woo woo 🚀🚀
Felt so proud of myself for making it to 3km and has motivated me to run again on the weekend!

My first 5km run doneee! woo!
Also the first run where I wasn’t feeling incredibly sluggish eeek. I think the sunny weather definitely helped to lift the spirits after this weeks crazy weather in Melb!
Very keen to get back into running and to drive into the training for my Uncomfortable Challenge.
Thank you Imogen and Dorothy for my first two donations!! Very grateful for your support to help those facing homelessness across Australia <3

Saturday morning I did my first tempo run, almost spewed a few times but felt amazing after!! Feeling very motivated for the challenge.

I’m super stoked that just in the lead up to this challenge, I’ve already run FIVE half maras and can feel myself get a lot fitter & stronger in the legs. Today I went for over 15km and it felt like a 5k would have just a few weeks ago, which is really exciting.
Looking forward to seeing how the legs hold up in October waHOOOO.

Has been a while since I ran, fell in love with it during COVID – blew out my ankle at the back end of 2023 and haven’t dusted off the runners in nearly a year.
With everything going on with mum, had at times forgotten to take the best care of myself physically as i was just trying to hold on. It’s been magic being back out dancing (slowly) on the feet, recapturing the magic and having fitness serve as a form of therapy.
Went on a wonderful run through Brisbane last week in the sunshine as we were about to launch our new program Mobilise Mobility and smiled knowing that I was running for good, training for a challenge that will hopefully make a big impact but also getting back to feeling how I was before it all went down with mum. Hold the vision, trust the process

A beautiful Melbourne day greeted me as I took off for my first proper long-distance (this is long distance for me) run in many years.
I managed to push myself to my limit for know and build a great baseline I can build from. Day one run is over as we built over the next six weeks to get my crazy goal.
