The past month has marked another significant chapter in the We Are Mobilise story. We achieved a major milestone with our inaugural Mobilise Matched participants being inducted into the program.
Mobilise Matched is our Australian-first initiative in direct cash transfer programs. Our initial 12 participants are undergoing onboarding processes, embarking on a journey that encompasses employment opportunities, charity support via our impactful collaboration with Youth Projects, and access to up to $10,000 in funding through grants from We Are Mobilise.
Working in parallel with Matched, we have been progressing additional participants into Mobilise Kickstarter, our rental assistance program. This translates into more individuals securing homes or maintaining their existing living arrangements.
Another milestone we saw in November was the launch of Nedd’s Milk, a drink that not only tastes good but does good too. It comes in Choccy Milk and Iced Coffee, my personal fave is the Iced Coffee. Would love to know your favourite!
Profits generated from the sale of this milk will be directed towards advancing We Are Mobilise’s mission to aid those grappling with homelessness. Finally, select We Are Mobilise team members participated in the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) Leadership Academy in Adelaide.
The experience was remarkable, witnessing numerous motivated and collaborative organisations from across the nation united in their commitment to making a difference.
A crucial insight gained from this conference underscores the belief that homelessness is indeed solvable, with the primary impediment being the societal perception of its feasibility. At We Are Mobilise, we steadfastly maintain the conviction that a world where homelessness is considered an unavoidable facet of life is not acceptable.
Our collective dedication propels us forward, steadfast in our pursuit of a society where homelessness is relegated to the annals of history.
Together, we press on, working towards a future where this societal challenge is but a distant memory.
